Privacy policy

About this policy

Draft for legal review. Last updated September 16, 2026.

This website is operated by Restoravet Outreach Group LLC (“Restoravet”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website or get in touch with us, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

It covers this website and the email and phone conversations that follow from it. It does not cover the separate privacy practices of the nonprofits and charitable organizations we work for; when we collect donor information during a campaign, that information belongs to the organization, and their privacy policy governs it. There is a section on that below.

If you have a question about this policy, email clair@restoravetgroup.com or call (724) 674-8878.

Information you give us

You can use this website without telling us anything about yourself. If you choose to contact us, we receive what you send.

  • Contact form: your organization name, your name, your email address, your phone number if you add one, and your message.
  • Email and phone: whatever you choose to share when you write or call, including anything in an attachment.
  • Job applications: if you apply for a role, the information in your application. [NEEDS: confirm how applications are received and where they are stored.]

We use this information to answer you, to discuss working together, and to keep a record of our correspondence. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to send marketing you did not ask for.

Information collected automatically

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. There is no tag manager, no advertising pixel, and no session recording.

Like any website, it is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers process technical information in order to serve pages and keep the site available and secure. That typically includes your IP address, the page you requested, the date and time, your browser type and your operating system. [NEEDS: confirm the hosting provider's log retention period.]

Fonts, images and scripts are served from this website itself, so opening a page does not send a request to a third-party font, video or advertising service.

Cookies

This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not use browser storage to profile visitors. Our cookie policy has the detail, including how to block or delete cookies in your browser.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • reply to your message and answer your questions;
  • discuss a possible campaign, prepare a proposal and agree terms;
  • run and support a campaign once an organization has engaged us;
  • keep records of our agreements and correspondence;
  • make the website work, keep it secure and fix problems;
  • meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations that apply to us.

We do not make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Donor information we handle for client organizations

When our representatives sign up donors on behalf of a nonprofit or charitable organization, the information a donor provides is collected for that organization. We handle it on their instructions and under our written agreement with them, and we pass it to them.

In practice that means: we do not use donor information for our own marketing, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not share it with other organizations we work for. Requests from a donor about their information are handled by the organization they chose to support, and we will pass any request we receive to that organization.

[NEEDS: confirm what donor data Restoravet retains after a campaign closes, for how long, and in which system.]

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only in these situations:

  • Service providers that help us run the site and our business, such as our hosting provider and our email provider, and only to the extent they need it to provide that service.
  • The organization you contacted us about, if you asked us to put you in touch with them.
  • Professional advisers, such as our lawyers and accountants, where they need it to advise us.
  • Authorities or other parties where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
  • A buyer or successor, if the business is sold or reorganized, under the same commitments set out here.

Where information is held

Our website, hosting and email providers process information in the United States. [NEEDS: confirm providers and whether any information is processed outside the United States.]

How long we keep information

We keep inquiries and correspondence for as long as we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we have a record of what was agreed. We keep records connected to contracts, tax and charitable solicitation reporting for as long as the law requires.

[NEEDS: confirm retention periods for inquiries, campaign records and job applications.]

How we protect information

This website is served over an encrypted connection. Access to the email and files holding inquiries is limited to people at Restoravet who need it for their work, and our representatives are briefed on handling the information they collect in the field.

No website or email system is completely secure. Please do not send us sensitive information such as payment card details, bank details, or government identification numbers through the contact form or by email.

Your choices and your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • delete information we no longer need to keep;
  • stop contacting you.

Email clair@restoravetgroup.com and say what you would like us to do. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, and we will tell you if a legal obligation stops us from doing what you asked.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law, including the right to appeal a decision we make about your request, and the right to complain to a regulator. [NEEDS: legal review of which state and national privacy laws apply to Restoravet, so the specific notices can be added.]

Children

This website is meant for adults working at or with nonprofit organizations. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Other websites

Our pages sometimes link to other websites, such as the source of a statistic in an article. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
